I plan to attend medical school or dental school.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I would describe my fashion sense as preppy.
Do you have any nicknames? If so, what’s the story behind it?
Mk for obvious reasons but my mom and dance teacher call me Scary Kate because when I was about 8 I lost one of my front teeth and had only one for a solid year and apparently I looked pretty scary.

…I took it off and people where surprised to find that underneath my ginger wig was blonde hair, and I do indeed have a soul.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you want to go and WHY?
If I could travel anywhere I think it would be to Kenya. My dad went there with Operations Smiles and it has always been a place where I would love to go do mission work.
What part of High School are you going to miss the most and WHY?
My friends! Most of my closest friends I have grown up with since preschool and it is going to be so weird to go to school without them.
If you were to go on America’s Got Talent, what would your talent be and WHY?
Probably being able to cross one eye and not the other… it’s a pretty awesome talent. Maybe I’d throw in a few dance moves while doing so.
What character traits of yours do you feel have influenced your life the most and WHY?
I have a very strong personality and I mostly tell it like it is. I think that has allowed me to push myself and not be intimidated by obstacles.

One of my amazing 2013 Senior Reps, Becca, wrote a very informative article regarding the search for the college that fits you best. Check it out!
Searching for the right college can be scary and intimidating. Everybody has an opinion, one they are all more than happy to share. Popular opinion (of parents, grandparents, and peers) label some colleges “good” while others are “bad.” But what can such subjective diagnoses really say about a college? Who’s to decide what colleges are “good,” which are “bad,” and which are somewhere in between?
The truth is, every college has something to offer, just like every student has something different to offer their school. The trick is to find the college that matches the student – a perfect fit. Finding the right college means something different for everyone, but there is no reason that a student shouldn’t end up at a college that fits them.
The first thing to think about when searching for just the right school is finances. This sounds rather pessimistic, it’s true, but determining how much you and your family are willing to pay for school will save you heartbreak and stress later down the road. While money is important, there are many more, equally important factors in choosing a college.
Be sure to consider what activities or subjects you most enjoy. If you have a major in mind, look for schools that are well known for that particular major. If you do not know what you would like to study, look for schools with activities you enjoy. These activities could be anything from a music department to intramural sports opportunities to Greek life. Wherever you end up, it will most likely be important that you find some activities with like-minded students.
The most important thing to remember during a college search is that stress does not help. Filling out applications, and later on the FAFSA, can be stressful and mind-numbing, but college will come eventually. It’s also good to remind yourself that picking a college is neither the biggest nor the last decision you will ever make. There will be plenty of other decisions later on in life. So take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy searching for the place that will be your home for at least the next four years.
I’ve been so blessed this year with an AMAZING group of Senior Reps! Each one of them has their own personality and uniqueness! With that being said, I will be conducting interviews with my 2013 Senior Reps throughout the year and “spotlighting” them each week on the CHP blog. What High School do you attend?
Chapin High School
Are you planning on attending college after you graduate? If so, where do you want to go and what will your major be?
Yes, I hope to attend Clemson University and major in prehabilitated sciences.
After college what are your plans?
Become a children’s physical therapist.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is definitely elegant and colorful. I love to dress outfits up with accessories.
Do you have any nicknames? If so, what’s the story behind it?
My family calls me “Hale-Bop,” because I was named after Haley’s comet and that was the comet’s nickname as well.
Complete the sentence, “Every time I scream, people…”
…always stare.
If you could describe yourself with 4 adjectives what would they be and WHY?
Energetic, outgoing, honest, and encouraging. These 4 adjectives describe me perfectly because no matter what time of day it is I always have energy and I absolutely love meeting new people. I never meet a stranger. I also am honest and encouraging and to be apart of a successful competitive cheerleading team you almost have to possess those 2 qualities because it’s not about individual skills it’s about the team.
What’s your most embarrassing moment?
Tripping and falling in front of my whole elementary school when I was in fifth grade.
What is one event that has changed your life and WHY?
4 events have changed my life and it has been winning the 3A Cheerleading State Championship in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. You can’t experience anything like that feeling and you get the biggest sense of accomplishment when you know all your hard work, pain, sweat, and tears has paid off!
If you could be president for the day, what would you do first and WHY?
Give back to the people who have lost jobs. Everyone deserves a chance in this world not only to provide for their families but also to prove to themselves that they are capable of working and providing a better and more successful life for themselves. This needs to be done because in the past 4 years thousands of people have lost jobs and have lost all hope that they will have enough money to provide for their families.
Fill in the blank…what’s your favorite:
Dessert: Paradise Pie
Store: Forever 21

Quote: “You gotta live and learn. You gotta crash and burn. You gotta make some stances and take some chances. You gotta live and love and take all life has to give. You gotta live and learn, so you can learn to live.” – Darius Rucker
What do you like most about Craig Hewitt Photography and WHY?
I love the friendships I am starting to establish. Being able to socialize with girls from all different schools around here and interacting with them. I have found out that I share a lot of commonalities with several of the girls!
