I’ve been so blessed this year with an AMAZING group of Senior Reps! Each one of them has their own personality and uniqueness! With that being said, I will be conducting interviews with my 2013 Senior Reps throughout the year and “spotlighting” them each week on the CHP blog. The lucky person chosen for this week is Miss Sarah!
What High School do you attend?
Chapin High School
Are you planning on attending college after you graduate? If so, where do you want to go and what will your major be?
I am planning to attend college after I graduate, but where I’ll be going is still a toss-up… as of right now it’s between USC, UNC, UGA, and Auburn! I hope to be a Pre-Pharmacy student at one of these universities.
After college what are your plans?
After college, I plan to become a pharmacist and hopefully work at a hospital pharmacy.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Feminine and classic. I love to dress up and accessorize but I try not to wear anything I’ll be TOO embarrassed about when I look at old pictures of myself in 20 years!
Do you have any nicknames? If so, what’s the story behind it?
My Uncle used to call me “Lefty” when I was younger because I’m the only left-handed person in my family. And a lot of people at the YMCA where I work call me “Little Roofer” because they all know my family members really well- they call us “The Roofers!!”
Complete the sentence, “I bought a magical toaster and it can make people…”
…invisible for the day if they eat the magic toast!
Who is your hero in life or someone you look up to and WHY?
My hero(s) in life are my parents. They are such great people, and have put so much love into raising my brother and me. They have taught me all of my values and made my brother and me the people we are today. I could not express in words how thankful I am to have such wonderful role models in my life.
What are your best leadership qualities and WHY?
My best leadership qualities are that I am focused and driven to accomplish my goals. This is helpful in leadership because it allows me to accomplish important tasks and lead others to be focused as well!
If you could take 3 things with you on a deserted island what would you take and WHY?
I would bring Bear Grylls from Survivor Man because I would definitely need major help staying alive on a deserted island, a photo album of my family and friends to remind me of them, and a good boat with lots of gas so I can drive Bear Grylls and myself home as soon as possible!
Looking back, what advice would you give to your Middle School aged-self now if you could and WHY?
I would tell my Middle School aged self to always hold my head high and be myself. In middle school, it’s difficult not to let others’ opinions of you influence your opinion of yourself. Now that I’m a senior in high school, I’ve realized that “no one can make you feel inferior without your consent,” as Eleanor Roosevelt said, and that it’s best to be true to yourself no matter what.
Fill in the blank…what’s your favorite:
Book: The Great Gatsby- I can’t wait for the new movie to come out!
Snack: Nutella- I could eat it all day long!
Saturday morning activity: Taking my dog, Lillie, for a walk!
Friends cast member: Joey! He’s hilarious!
What do you like most about Craig Hewitt Photography and WHY?
I love how creative and beautiful all of CHP’s photographs are. Each picture Craig takes seems to bring out the best in the person/people he photographs. My fellow Senior Reps and I have all been so impressed by Craig’s work with us and with his clients. It is such an honor to represent CHP this year!
Lefty Sarah for being YOU! You are an outstanding individual and a perfect fit for a CHP Senior Rep!
